An underground hidden heating system (the hypocaust) was used to warm up the different rooms. A boiler or oven were built in an adjacent room. The heat flowed through undergroung galleries until reaching the air shafts. The room preserves the ceramic pipes which supplied the water previously heated in the boiler.
